Buttercup Bag

I made something!

Even though I was not being productive, in terms of things I should have been doing... I was pretty productive in other aspects of life. 1) apt is pretty clean 2) things are organized & 3) now I have a new purse. yay!

Hamerschlag Hall Living Roof

I'm taking a green roof studio this summer and we visited the green roof at CMU a month or so ago. I'm just getting around to uploading the photos. The plants have really filled in and are doing well. I love how the roof is at grade with the distant hill, so it is visible to passers by. Lovely.

what a palette of greens...

raffled off

I donated two of my pillow covers to a raffle held at Chatham University to support the PGH AIDS Taskforce Food Bank. Kinda forgot to advertise that they were mine... I have the excuse of being quite ill that evening.

Here they are in detail:

Brown cotton pillow with screen printed red bird outlines.

baby blue corduroy with hand stitched beading.

camera case

I didn't really make any new years resolutions this year, but now that it's March I'm thinking I should have resolved to be more crafty.

In order to claim that I haven't stopped entirely, here is a little camera case I through together for my trip to NYC. I gave it a test run while visiting Guelph, Ontario (which is where this photo was taken) for a conference.

Reversible, double-snap camera case. Cotton.

My first blanket

Done! I took on the ambitious project of making a baby blanket for a Nora, who entered the world in May. It was not ambitious because it was difficult (though my first "non-scarf" knitting project), ambitious because it is warm out and who needs a blanket in the summer! I deem it an "air conditioning" blanket. I hope Nora hasn't out grown it already!

sewing store

This little store was down the street from the hostel I stayed in during my visit to Tokyo, while visiting Japan. I was obsessed with the organization of the colors and materials. And I'm not quite sure what all the cording was even for!
